This week, I am writing about the One.

My PSA, a sign that I may have prostate cancer, is going down.

I often mentioned to my oncologist that any infection causes it to go up,

and finally, he tends to consider this a truthful statement.

I do not feel bad or lose weight; thus, I am not concerned.

The spot on my head likely caused the issue.

The spot has disappeared; thus, there is no more infection.

The scan and the additional blood tests did not show any issues either.

On the masonic front, we will get near the installation date in early May.

I will become Senior Warden; therefore,

there is only a year before I become master of the lodge.

I also found that when Anne likes to visit people and leave me for a few days,

I book a daily lodge visit, which is much easier than cooking.

Three-course meal for 10 to 12 pounds!

We are also coming near the lodge recess, thus fewer visits and more parties.

Many of these parties are to attract new people to the craft.

This means we must speak to those who attend and make them feel welcome.

Very easy to do!

We also got a lot done for charity this year.

What most people do not realise is that the Masons are a charity organisation,

and, in the UK, the largest charity when considering donations.

The national lottery may donate more, but it is not a charity.

Anyhow, to those who contracted cancer or any other lousy disease,

I found that to accept the situation, and, at the same time, to fight the issue,

is an excellent way to stay positive.

Giving up is the best way to lose the fight for survival.

Life at the material level of consciousness is all about fighting for survival.

Even at the physical levels of consciousness, such a fight is ongoing.

As long as we know that life has an end, we will fight.

When I get asked why we have this tendency to fight,

I tend to refer to the mind.

The mind is a made-up entity, and it will not survive.

In the process of this fight, the mind will motivate the body to assist.

The spiritual philosophy teaches us that we have three bodies:

ØThe material body.

ØThe Astral body.

ØThe Causal body.

The reality is that we have one body with three aspects.

The material body is the flesh and bones.

The Astral body represents the sensing part.

The Causal body is the mind.

Past these aspects, we find the levels of the soul.

The mind created the dimension of time,

Thus, when we explore past the mind, time is no more.

A straight statement from the third degree of masonry.

The simplification of the workings of the body tends to show steps.

There are no steps; it all flows from one to the other.

When we explore “no time”,

we enter a domain we cannot comprehend.

Those who did this refer to the wirling cave.

When we go through this phase, we encounter black or brown, which moves.

The colour is not relevant; the mind interprets the experience as such.

The reality is that we have only feelings left.

We do experience an awareness.

This is a reflection of the mind, which still has some influence.

When we let go of the mind, the ego will disappear.

Like the river becomes the sea,

we will be the One.

This week, I am writing about change.

Saturday was all about gardening.

We did a lot, after which we had to prepare for a party.

Suddenly, the weather is fantastic.

Warm, sunny, and dangerous for my head.

I am back to organising change in an organisation.

One of the lodges I am in struggles for members,

and I took on the task of returning this lodge to a healthy state.

Quite a few people feel that I took on an impossible task.

Of course, they do not know me, but maybe I fail this time.

What makes me good at change management?

From discussions, it appears that being neurodivergent is an essential factor.

Any organisation or, to be more generic, any living organism

Requires two main forces:

Driving forces

Stabilising forces.

Without these two, the stability of the entity is compromised.

Neurodivergent people are more suitable for the driving forces

as they are less susceptible to following culture.

Culture is a strong bond which keeps the habits of a group intact.

However, habits can be obsolete due to the changing situation of a group.

When this occurs, change is required.

In science, it is posed that change goes through three phases:

Defrost

Change

Refrost.

Although this sounds like any person can follow such a simple process,

The reality is that change, significantly changing a culture,

is the most challenging action to achieve.

People will actively resist deviations from the norm.

To achieve anything, we require a person

who can create a feeling of discomfort with the present reality.

At the same time, such a person offers themselves a new comfort.

We need a person capable of doing this,

which is usually rare in any group.

The process involves scientific findings

but also requires finding the special person who drives the three phases.

Often, in companies, they select a person based on seniority.

This inevitably will not work.

I need now to initiate change in a lodge,

But in the past, I did this in companies.

Often, I compared it with setting up a tent.

We lift the middle, and it looks like a tent.

However, without the middle pole, it will slowly collapse again.

Thus, when I do, I need to ensure that we select an alternative person as a middle pole.

It also means that when affecting change,

we require some form of stability again, plus a driving force.

If this is not addressed, the system will, again, fail.

I may write again about the progress made,

As it is close to my heart.

This week, I am writing about time.

With a friend's assistance, we finished most of the front garden.

It is good that this was done, as I did not feel well on Sunday,

and until Wednesday, I was too ill to do anything.

On Friday, I decided to see a doctor.

The GP was not available, so I went to a walk-in clinic.

I entered at 09.30 hrs and came out around 13.00 hrs.

Three to four hours of waiting is, apparently, regular.

The verdict was that they would send me home and sleep it off if I were young and fit.

However, with my medical background, they gave me antibiotics.

There was nothing wrong with me besides what they classed as a viral infection.

One worry less, as I had to attend a masonic installation meeting.

During the ceremony, I was elected as assistant secretary.

Next week in my motherlodge I got to the Senior Warden chair,

one step away from the master chair, which will be for next year.

The more I study masonic rituals,

the more I realise that these contain a lot of mystic knowledge.

When we rise to the awareness level of the soul, time disappears.

The knowledge is available, but it is another issue whether it is fully understood.

The dimension of time is a fabrication of the mind.

To reach this awareness and fully comprehend it can take years.

Most people never come to this conclusion; it is too complex.

Not to worry, at some stage, we will learn,

if not in this life, then during the next cycle.

When I discuss some of the ways this life operates,

a lot of people do not comprehend the difference between the mind and the brain.

How can we understand the dimension of time,

and its influence on what we call our world,

if we do not yet comprehend that the mind and the brain are very different entities.

The brain operates solely at the material awareness level.

The mind receives and interprets information from the brain.

When the mind adds the dimension of time,

we arrive at the comprehension of our beautiful world.

When time disappears, our world collapses.

All other dimensions disappear,

and we arrive at the point many masters teach us about.

In this sentence, we use words like arriving and point.

Both words are related to time and should not be used.

However, the concept should be clear.

As long as the mind exists, all that goes with the mind exists.

When the mind disappears as an influence,

Nothing of what we consider to be real remains.

Our familiar world will be gone.

What is left is feelings.

This week, I am writing about progress.

Working in the garden was my goal this week.

Getting up early, working, and in the evening to the lodge.

The front of the house is nearly completed, and now we can start in the back garden!

April is nearly finished, and May will be busy.

A lot of masonic activities stop after May,

we call this period the recess.

Thus, we will do our utmost to see each other in May.

Of course, some activities go on, like a few parties,

but more days are free overall.

I ordered 30 copies of my book about neurodivergency,

as this book goes quickly.

Quite a few people ask me for a copy,

By now, I must have handed out around 100 copies.

I discussed about this last week.

Somebody asked why I do not sell my books.

It is possible to buy my books from Amazon,

but I tend to give them away.

The objective of my writing is to help people.

If I sell books, I run a business.

That means that I do not follow my objective.

Possibly, I now offend those who do need to earn a living from writing,

but that is not the idea.

I have a goal and an objective.

Others may think and act differently,

which is their prerogative.

We are all unique; we do not have to copy others.

I also started to work more with sound,

and I learnt another trick.

The wand allows me to find a point in space,

which has healing power for certain types of issues,

when stared at for a few minutes.

And so we keep on learning.

Sound addresses issues with the energy fields around our bodies,

just like most Chinese medical treatment does.

Western science has not yet studied the energy fields

to find discrepancies that point to illness.

However, some scientists look at such possibilities.

At some stage, mainstream science will consider the option.

I see many more suggestions that this world is not real; it is more like a hologram.

As mainstream science makes such comments,

we now go towards spiritual thinking.

Progress may be slow, but it does happen.

Which was another discussion I got into this week.

When anything progresses, it tends to go also in reverse.

When this happens, people vent their opinion that the world is going backwards.

After studying for a more extended period, we noted that there has been steady progress,

but there are setbacks.

Life works in this way.

This week, I am writing about comparing and judging.

Finally, I can work in the garden!

Today, I worked more than three hours

and am entirely gone, tired, and ready to go to bed.

Maybe I should realise that I have to cut down on working hours at my age.

Anyhow, I should be fine tomorrow, and then the real work starts.

Digging, hoeing, pruning.

It was very satisfying to sit outside after work and look at my achievements.

When we attempt to do any activity,

It is essential to realise that such work must be within the window of our capabilities.

Looking back and pondering what we used to be capable of is not helping.

Also, looking at what others do is not correct.

In our view, such people may do more,

but they may not be happy with their achievements.

We are all unique, and therefore, our activities are unique.

When we learn this lesson, we can progress on the path of life.

Looking back is for learning, not to compare.

We should live in the present, not in the past.

I analysed the subject of living in the present before.

The way others explained the subject

is, to me, not clear and not achievable.

However, why not live for the moment and not look back?

It is so simple, and it avoids the stress related to comparing.

Comparing with others and judging others are similar.

We cannot judge without comparing; when we compare, we follow with judgment.

As seekers, we must avoid these habits.

Although it is easy to make this statement,

it is challenging to implement.

Our society and the language we speak are based on judging.

In everything we do, we compare and judge by looking at others.

As a consequence, we always live in the past.

How can we change such habits?

My suggestion is to try constantly.

Eventually, it becomes a habit not to judge.

Of course, it will take time, and we are not perfect.

We will often find that we judge.

So what? We start again, and we do not look back.

Life is about learning.

Perfect people do not learn; they do not have to.

Be aware that perfect does not exist in our world.

However special something appears to be,

there is always a negative attached.

Let us try not to judge and compare.

We leave being perfect or better to others!

This week, I am writing about proving spiritual knowledge.

Finally, so I thought we could do work outside.

The ground looked drier, and I noticed the rhubarb coming out.

Soon, we can eat Rhubarb crumble!

We also had a party on Friday, men only, including non-masons,

and on Saturday, both men and women.

After repairing the damage to one of them,

I also treated two tables with Tung oil.

What a difference! The repaired table is 40 years old, and it looks like new!

The result is that this blog is late. I was busy with other activities.

I visited my oncologist. As my PSA was very high (56),

He insisted on seeing me in person.

I explained to him that I had a large spot on my head,

Which got infected and needed removal by a dermatologist.

Such issues cause my PSA to rise.

As I did not lose weight, I had no pain, and I did not feel tired,

I was convinced that I had no cancer.

He had a scan done the week before

and already knew there was nothing to worry about.

For some reason, he will not accept that infections cause my PSA to go up.

By now I do not get worried.

I accept health issues when they happen,

And if it becomes serious, I can always consider becoming worried.

The concept of worry when something changes

in what we consider to be the status quo

originates in the mind.

Our soul does not know the concept of worry.

The mind fights for stability in an ever-changing world.

The soul accepts its existence as it is.

Eternal and stable.

I heard last week that we do not know what happens after we pass away.

Such a statement originates from those who never examine their consciousness.

When we do some research, either by meditation or other forms of concentration,

we find the pathway leading to a better understanding of who we are.

Never think that this route is easy.

From birth, our society conditioned us to believe that our material world is real.

We do not consider it an awareness level, and other levels exist.

Science admits now that material as we know it does not exist.

They also know that our world may not be real; it is more like a hologram.

However, it will take some time

before our science gets to the knowledge levels of the spiritual masters.

Often, people tell me that even my statements relate to believing.

I cannot counter such opinions, as the only way to prove difference is by experience.

Traditional scientific methods show that awareness levels are a better description,

But to make such a conclusion sink in from a finding to a reality takes time.

Even a seeker starts from an opinion and tries to prove what comes next.

People are like this: starting from a blank page and proving something is very difficult.

This week, I am writing about Time.

The garden is still a mud bath; thus, I work in the house.

The idea was to strip the doors downstairs

and paint them with gloss yachting varnish.

This idea was such a success that I now did the TV table.

I also painted two divider units downstairs,

and I got all doors upstairs on the list,

Plus, there is a cupboard in the dining room.

There is something to be said for not doing a good job!

All the wood underneath the paint is high quality,

and the varnish brings out all the grain.

The idea is tedious to execute but very satisfying when complete.

Another thing that happened was that I received a letter

from the Grant Conclave of Northumberland and Durham

informing me that I will be a member if I agree.

As this is a promotion in masonic terms, I accepted.

Now, I need to find out what I signed up for.

I discussed this world being an illusion.

When we study spirituality, we learn as much.

However, masonic ritual contains reference to this,

and it also refers to time as a factor that disappears after passing away.

When the factor time goes, the world as we know it will be gone.

We need to think a lot before realising what “no time” means.

However, when we understand mathematics,

we can look at everything that contains time as a factor.

Delete this dimension, and all we know disappears to zero or infinity.

There is, however, a difference between calculating a reality,

and understanding its meaning.

I encountered a similar issue when listening to a presentation about the atomic bomb.

Einstein said that there is a straight relation between material and energy.

He put this in a formula: E = MC2

The meaning of his statement is that material does not exist;

everything we experience is a form of energy.

Most scientists agree, but some say that some material exists.

How they came to this conclusion is a mystery.

I have not seen proof that Einstein's conclusion does not always apply.

From Einstein’s studies, we can see that science

arrives at the same conclusion as the mystics of the past.

The world, as we experience it, is an illusion.

This week, I am writing about secret and sacred.

I had a memorable week.

On Wednesday, we had an amalgamation of two lodges,

which constitutes a special ceremony.

Today, on Saturday, we had a consecration of a new lodge.

This ceremony lasted three hours,

after which we had the festive board – another word for a meal –

which ensured we left the lodge at 16.30 hrs.

As Anne is in London, it got me through the day,

and I had an excellent four-course meal for BPS 20!

Unfortunately, no lodges are meeting on Sunday,

I must cook myself!

All masonic rituals, I noticed, have a spiritual meaning.

Even passing away to a place where time is no more,

gives a clear indication that those who designed the ritual,

knew that time is not a dimension,

when we move to the spiritual levels of our consciousness.

I keep being confronted with the loss of the secrets of the master masons.

We have alternative words until the actual words are recovered.

Of course, in the Eastern spiritual initiation ceremonials,

we receive these words; thus, they are preserved.

But in masonic folklore, we lost these words.

Sadly, the masonic rituals show that deeper spiritual understanding got lost.

I love the craft, but the meaning of awareness levels

and a spiritual understanding of our consciousness

are hidden in the rituals and are not understood anymore.

So much of the old knowledge still needs to be made available.

It exists, but ordinary people have no access.

It is not a secret; it is a knowledge that fails to attract interest.

The world as we know it contains all we need to know.

However, as long as we focus our attention

on the material part of our existence,

We lose sight of the higher levels of awareness.

These levels are named, and their names are the lost words.

The words are referred to as secret at the spiritual level of thinking.

It is my opinion that these words are sacred.

The mix-up of these two words causes the issue that we will not discuss them.

Mind, I found them on the internet.

So much for keeping secrets or losing words!

This week, I am writing about our destiny.

Last week, I had my blog ready,

but my computer indicated that I could switch to Outlook 11.

Without giving this a thought, I did the upgrade.

Suddenly, all my contacts disappeared.

Whatever I tried, I could not get this back.

The rest of the week, I spend re-entering all my contacts in the new Outlook.

After doing this, I noticed I could switch to the old version.

I did, and all my information appeared as before!

It is funny how little things like this can be upsetting!

One thing I managed: I did not swear!

My oncologist insisted on having a CT scan done.

My PSA was relatively high, and my explanation was that this

happened when I got an infection.

However, this did not register.

The specialist is not convinced, even after various occurrences.

Now, waiting for the verdict that he cannot find anything wrong,

What goes on is that the rule book explains that a high PSA means cancer.

The oncologist does not want to deviate from this statement.

Next, he will change medication and other things.

When he does this, it becomes my task to avoid that treatment will go over the top.

In April, I will be tested again. Thus, there are no worries.

People tend to adhere to rules, as it instils security.

When evaluating what people say,

we must realise this peculiar behaviour

and adjust our response to avoid serious issues.

In my case, I need to avoid causing an upset,

as I may need this specialist in the future.

Managing people and their peculiarities is a way of life.

Some of us are better than others, as applies to every gift we develop.

Getting angry and shouting does not help.

Treat situations like this as trying to avoid a dog to bark.

It does not work, but shouting does not influence the dog's behaviour.

When we develop the skill of managing people

and their peculiar ways of behaving,

we also progress on the spiritual path.

The skill we now have reduces our anger,

which is one of the five vices to get under control.

It is good to see that everyday life and spirituality go together.

They are not separate ways to go through life; they are part of our destiny.

This week, I am writing about mentoring.

I had to execute some sanding and painting jobs this week.

My good wife had a bright idea:

We have these dark brown doors.

Why not sand them down and varnish the bare wood?

It took my friend and I a week to do three doors.

The result is excellent, but to call it a simple job

was not a correct task evaluation.

The work needed doing outside as sanding causes a lot of dust.

Varnishing we did inside.

Anyhow, we did three doors, and as the result was outstanding,

you may guess, we have another seven doors.

The discussion now is: Do we do them all?

We all tend to create work in some form or another.

However, for now, we will leave the work for some time.

People tend to look at their assets and decide that they require change.

The funny thing is that most people do not like change,

except when it involves their furniture or indoor painting.

Outdoor activities are of less importance as they involve a higher cost.

When we look at the body,

Indoor is of little or no importance,

while the outside is all important.

When, as a seeker, we put our intention to the inside,

We experience, after some time,

that the outside experience becomes less important.

It will take time, and it is easy to fall back,

as the outside world may be irrelevant,

but its pleasures are attractive.

However, when we persist, the inside experience becomes prominent.

Anything we class as outside becomes much like a theatre play.

We are an audience; we experience from a distance.

After some time, our interest in the play becomes less,

and the outside world becomes boring.

The art is to maintain our interest.

As we progress on the path,

we need to assist others who need our help.

Consider the comparison with work.

We get experienced, so we assist others in taking on our jobs at a later stage.

Suddenly, our jobs are not boring

because we add teaching others to the task description.

Teaching and mentoring are essential activities,

as progress in the world is like building a house.

We start with a foundation and add knowledge and experience,

bit by bit, like stone by stone in a house.

When we see development in life like this,

we will never get bored.

Being bored is like giving up.

Keep building the house of our lives.

This week, I am writing about spiritual progress.

As the garden is still too wet to work in,

We decided to change the colour of some of the doors.

These are indoor, and they are all dark brown French polished.

Beautiful wooden doors, but it would be better to see the wood.

I used a band sandpaper machine and a typical machine for fine polishing,

and the result was excellent using yachting varnish.

Two doors completed. We have one to complete downstairs and seven upstairs.

This project will be long-term; otherwise, we forget about the garden!

Another few projects relate to masonry.

The last party was for a cat and dog shelter,

We start again with the support for the RNLI, a yearly event.

I found it interesting that some people are always busy organising,

while most others appear not interested in such an occupation.

They are happy to come to events and comment on activities,

but participation is not something that awakens their interest.

When we look at spirituality, we see a similar system.

Many people like sitting in the audience,

but only a few sit on the stage to address that audience.

When we study the requirements for spiritual progress,

we may find that only some can adhere for a long time.

I wrote about this before; holding to a vegan diet is helpful,

but it will not assist in spiritual progress on its own.

A person who is ready to progress will move,

whatever their diet.

So why do masters insist on specifying harsh requirements?

I can identify several reasons:

-      Discipline,

-      Respect for life,

-      Conscious living.

There will be more, but the point is clear;

when we are ready, we move forward.

Most masters say this in some of their addresses to followers.

When a seeker is ready, a master appears to take him.

When we look for such a master, they will not appear.

Instead, we find a person correctly attached to the material world.

When we think about this last statement, it is logical.

We are not ready; thus, we will not recognise a master.

We search so we identify a person who, in our view, represents a master.

Such a person fits in the material awareness level

because that is where we have our focus or attention.

To progress spiritually, we need to understand what this entails.
